The developer's trust surface
It shows what runs because you opened an editor, a repository or a shell, which is exactly where an agent works.
Evidence first
What is observed is recorded before anything responds to it. Something that is merely absent from a later scan is logged as not observed, never as fixed.
A response ladder
Watch, ask, propose, act. Automatic actions are limited to reversible containment, every action is in a ledger, and there is an undo.
Threat intelligence that can only add suspicion
Public threat feeds are vetted by a deliberately simple checker. Nothing fetched is ever executed, and intelligence can never clear a finding.
It names its own blind spots
Argus compares current attacker techniques with what its own sensors cover and reports the gaps as a work list.
An edition for servers
On Linux, Argus runs as its own unprivileged account with read-only capabilities. It audits SSH keys and configuration, sudo rules, systemd units, cron, password-guessing in the auth log, web shells in document roots, container exposure and kernel-level hiding.
Local by construction
The dashboard only listens on your own machine. There is no telemetry by default, and the core depends on almost nothing but the language it is written in.

Windows PC
Windows 자체에서 실행되는 Argus.
Windows 에디션은 네이티브 프로그램으로 다시 만드는 중이며 이번 릴리스에는 없습니다. Windows PC에서 Linux 서버를 보려면 아래 데스크톱 앱을 사용하세요.
데스크톱 앱
운영 중인 Argus 서버를 위한 창, 트레이 아이콘, 알림. 앱 자체는 아무것도 감시하지 않고 SSH 터널을 통해 서버의 대시보드를 보여 줍니다. Linux(WebKitGTK)와 Windows 10/11.
- 설치합니다. Windows: .exe는 설치 프로그램이 필요 없습니다. 본인 폴더에 두고 한 번 열면 시작 메뉴에 ARGUS-1이 추가됩니다. Linux: 다운로드한 폴더에서 실행:
sudo apt install ./argus-desktop_2026.10.30.2_amd64.deb - 서버에서 앱 전용 토큰을 발급합니다(한 번만 표시):
argus desktop pair --name desktop - 그 토큰을 한 줄로 client.token에 저장합니다. 위치는 %APPDATA%\local.jarvis.desktop(Windows) 또는 ~/.config/local.jarvis.desktop(Linux, 저장 후 chmod 600).
- 앱을 쓰는 동안 이 터널을 열어 두고 ARGUS-1을 엽니다:

Windows 앱은 아직 코드 서명되지 않았습니다. “Windows의 PC 보호” 창이 나타나면 [추가 정보]를 선택하고 앱이 argus-desktop-windows-x64.exe인지 확인한 뒤 [실행]을 선택하세요. [실행] 버튼이 없다면 이 PC의 정책이 서명되지 않은 프로그램을 차단하는 것입니다. Argus를 위해 그 보호를 끄지 마세요.
앱은 127.0.0.1에만 연결하며 대시보드는 네트워크에 노출되지 않습니다. 앱 취소: argus desktop revoke ID(argus desktop clients가 ID를 보여 줍니다).

- Not a replacement for enterprise endpoint security.
- Windows 10 and 11 (64-bit), and Linux servers with systemd. No macOS edition yet.
- Someone with full administrator or kernel control can falsify what any local tool sees. Argus says so instead of hiding it.
